Here is a great gift idea for Mom on her special day. I used the pre cut wild wasabi card stock and created a pocket to hold the seed packet. Using water color pencils gave the stamped image a soft look.
I cased this card from the current catalog page 22, I plan to show it at a workshop. I love this set and with the added wheel as a bonus how great is that.
This long card 4 x 8 was my attempt at the limited supply challenge this week. A long card no designer paper, we could use ribbon. I water colored the butter fly with stampin up ink and my aquapainter.
This square card "Enjoy the little things" uses a triangle corner piece of Stampin up Designer Paper for one of my favorite ways to layer card stock on cards.
I used three of my favorite things on this card today. Brads, dry emboss with cuttlebug, and heat embossing the swirl and butterfly with white embossing powder. I found this soft brown back ground paper in my stash which I am trying to use up. I like the softness of this card.
I have been stamping cards to go to Iraq lately and I used my scraps on my table today to stamp up some quick mini thank yous. I like having these cute 3 x 3 size cards ready for grab and go thank you notes.
Jen's sketch challenge was a quick one for me today. I needed a card for a dear co worker that just lost her father my heart goes out to her. I used the touch of nature stampin up set and stamped the three panels with the fern leaf and blue bayou ink. I versamark and then blue ink before embossing the butterfly with clear EP.
This second set of thinking of you cards has a retro feel to them. I found the background paper in my stash I used the printed rectangle for the sentiment and circle punches for a quick layout without being bulky.
I saw a card using the same color card stock layers and like the way the card had a soft feel about it. I tried that on this card today. I also used my cuttlebug to only emboss part of the white square for the center of this card.
I made a quick thank you card with the tiny bird from Spring Solitude a hostess set from Stampin Up. The branch with tiny bird were stamped onto glossy card stock and punch with Stampin up's Scallop punch.
The Stampin up Rub Ons are great. I used them today on this "Thinking of You" card. Along with a great color combo I read about on another blog (I can not remember now whose) of chocolate chip, barely banana, close to coco. I love the classic look.
This card is a combo for three different challenges on splitcoaststamper's. First a technique called "paper toll" The flower was stamped three times. I cut out one flower and attached with pop up dots and then I cut out four petals and pop them up for a third layer. The second challenge was a color challenge. Coral, moss, apricot, and carmel. Third was for the sketch challenge with is a simple layout. I used the stamp set "Touch of Nature" from Stampin up.
I needed a thank you card for a co-worker because he was leaving and this Oak Tree stamp from stampin up was perfect. I ruffed up the edges some and used markers to add extra color on the tree before stamping.
Mini little thank yous for some awesome customers. My last workshop was so much fun and the girls loved the projects. I love to make mini cards 3 x 3 they are a snap to make.
